Common Digestive Causes


Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)

IBS is a functional gastrointestinal disorder that causes abdominal pain along with changes in bowel habits such as diarrhea or constipation.


Gastritis or Ulcers

Inflammation or ulcers in the stomach lining may cause burning pain in the upper abdomen.


Gallbladder Disease

Gallstones can cause sharp pain in the upper right abdomen, often after eating fatty meals.


Inflammatory Bowel Disease

Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis may cause abdominal pain along with diarrhea and bleeding.

  • fever

  • vomiting

  • blood in stool

  • unexplained weight loss
